Every plug-in solar kit you can actually buy in the UK today, with what it costs and where it can go. Each one is marked Compliant on the official ENA register, and links to its entry there.
A note on the names. Some kits are registered under the name of the company that sells them, so a few of these are retailer names. That is simply what the product is called on the official register. We do not link to any shop, we do not rank one above another, and we earn nothing from any of them.

No kits match that.
Our own research into the kits on sale to UK households, last checked 26 September 2026. Compliance status and System References come from the ENA Connect Direct Type Test Register, which listed 83 compliant kits from 21 makers on that date. How we count: that is every entry in the register’s Plug-in Solar category whose status reads Compliant, counted one per register entry, including entries from the same maker and entries with no UK seller. On that date the category held 92 entries in total, 83 Compliant and 9 Non-compliant. Other sites publish different totals, which we think is mostly because they count differently rather than because anyone is wrong, so we have said plainly what ours means. The register is the official record: check it before you buy. Prices are what we saw on the seller’s own site on the date shown, and they change. We do not link to shops and earn nothing from these listings.
How to read this
- Compliant means the kit has been assessed and listed on the Energy Networks Association’s Connect Direct register. Only a compliant kit may be plugged in under the new rules.
- Output is what the inverter sends into your home. The legal limit is 800W.
- Panels is the total panel wattage, which can be higher than 800W. That is allowed, and it helps on dull days.
- Price is what we saw on the seller’s own site on the date shown. Prices move, so treat it as a guide.
Why 23 kits here, and 83 on the register?
The register lists every kit that has passed assessment, including kits sold only abroad, kits not yet on sale, and older versions. This page lists the ones a household in England, Scotland or Wales can buy right now. If a kit you have found is not here, check it on the register: it may still be compliant, and we may simply not have found it on sale yet. Tell us and we will add it.
Before you buy
- Match the exact model code to the register entry. Some makers have compliant and non-compliant versions with almost the same name.
- Check the kit comes with the mounting you need. Some prices exclude the frame.
- Check delivery: panels are large, and some sellers will not deliver them everywhere.
- You must tell your network operator when you switch it on. It is free and cannot be refused.
